UPDATE FEBRUARY 23, 2016

Murphy’s Pet Project says: “Thank you! At this point we have hundreds of emails, phone calls, and FB messages. I am pretty certain we have some good candidates. I wish I could reply personally to all the emails but I cannot possibly keep up. I will be sure to post updates on FB for everyone following their story. The outpouring of support has been inspiring.”

This is a plea from Murphy’s Pet Project …Crisis situation! Owner is in last days of life and needs the know her precious dogs will be cared for and loved. They are nine and 10 years old (middle age for Dachshunds), fully vetted, and well trained couch potatoes. The cost of their care will be provided to you. That is how much these two are loved…their dying mama is going to ensure they are cared for as long as they live. In Grand Rapids. Will deliver. Learn more by calling Murphy’s Pet Project at 616-825-6319 or email them here.

We have foster available in DAWG rescue to take if needed. Also, can the dogs please say their final good bye’s if possible. Bad enough for these poor dogs at their age to lose their owner but wouldn’t want them to feel they were abandoned

are they older dogs that don’t need a lot of attention, like going for walks but could still play inside a fence? I am older and just lost my girl of 14 years but I can’t get out and do much with dogs but would love them as much as I could if they don’t need much care, hope this sounds right.

We have been looking for two dachshunds and would love them forever. we live on a farm in Kalkaska lived in G.R until we retired and came back home.have family there still. We would love to be able to give this person the satisfaction that her pets would be well taken care of. don’t have a fenced in yard but would likely put in underground fence if we were to find two dogs.. God bless!
