Dogs Involved in Grand Traverse County Animal Control Seizure Getting Adopted Out

Here’s an update on the dogs from Cherryland Humane Society…

We are so incredibly touched by the heart of our community and throughout Michigan. Over 100 families reached out to CHS to express interest in providing a home to our remaining Disney Dogs!

With the hard work and help of Grand Traverse County Animal Control, over 100 East Bay/Disney Dogs were transferred to 10 Michigan organizations for adoption and placement! As you can imagine, keeping 150+ dogs within a limited space over a long period of time would be incredibly difficult and straining for these animals. 

Transferring out dogs to other facilities provided better quality care as well as less time within a shelter setting. We are so thankful to each of these organizations, Little Traverse Bay Humane Society, Otsego County Animal Shelter, Charlevoix Area Humane Society, Humane Society of Huron Valley, Ingham County Animal Control & Shelter, Wexford Animal Control, & Eva Burrell Animal Shelter.
