AC PAW Shutting Down as a Rescue and Adoption Organization

The time has come for AC PAW to close up shop as an organization that rescues cats and dogs to re-home them. They announced today that they will be transitioning into a full spay and neuter assistance and educational program instead.

They announced the change on their Facebook page earlier today. It reads…

Dear AC PAW Friends, Supporters and Champions,

After giving fully of themselves for so many years, it is time for Brian and June to retire and take well-earned time for themselves. They are proud that the AC PAW legacy will live on, albeit in a new form.

For nearly 30 years, AC PAW has been saving dogs and cats across northern Michigan. Following the vision of Brian Manley and June McGrath, AC PAW has saved thousands of cats and dogs from suffering. The AC PAW mission statement was then and always will be “Shelter From the Storm.” An important part of that mission has also been focusing on the spay and neuter of pets to help control the pet overpopulation problem.
