Michigan Humane Partners with Abraham Ranch to Rescue and Rehab Horses, Farm Animals and Wildlife

Michigan Humane has teamed up with Abraham Ranch to better serve the animals that arrive in their care. Abraham Ranch is on 140 acres across two properties in Clarkson and Ortonville.

It consists of beautiful wooden trails, rolling pastures, scenic ponds, winding rivers, a vegetable garden and a pumpkin patch.

The new facility, a 14,000 square foot red barn, was gifted to Michigan Humane and is on 80 acres. It will allow them to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome hundreds of farm animals and livestock every year.

The vision has five parts which focus on animals, land, humans, education and health.

Animals: To save animals from neglect, cruelty or death and give them a chance at a life filled with humane treatment and love.

Land: To practice conservation and responsible stewardship of land.

Humans: To provide a sanctuary not only for animals, but also a retreat for humans in need to reconnect with nature.

Education: To serve as a resource for education about animals and nature, the environment and the role we play.

Health: To help people make informed decisions about cleaner food sources and learn how to identify farms and businesses that are ethical and humane.
