Benzie County Overlooks Animal Control Millage Renewal

Benzie County is working to fix a ballot mistake after the millage renewal was overlooked. During their meeting Tuesday afternoon, county commissioners briefly discussed the next steps to fix the problem. If approved by voters, the millage renewal would’ve been an estimated $135,000. Pets Not Allowed. Americans Trapped in Afghanistan Who Make it to the Airport Can’t Take Their Pets.

What is going on with thousands of Americans being trapped in Afghanistan in heartbreaking. This is a result of President Biden screwing up the pull out by abandoning the Bagram Air Base in Kabul before rescuing Americans, Afghan allies and allowing enough time for foreigners in the country to get out.

There is no guarantee that our 10,000+ Americans will make it out alive because even though the American troops appear to be in control of the airport, the Taliban is controlling the entrance to the airport and have checkpoints all over the city.

What is even more heartbreaking is what I heard today on the Sean Hannity Show when he was reading a memo sent out to Americans in Afghanistan. They are not to bring their pets with them when they try to get to the airport to be rescued.

The U.S. Embassy in Kabul (the virtual one) confirms this on their website where it says in capital letters “PLEASE NOTE THAT THERE ARE NO PETS ALLOWED.”

And it’s not like the planes are too crowded because no one is making it to the airport and flights are taking off half full.

The Biden administration has no plan to get Americans out of the country safely other than relying on the “generosity” of the Taliban and keeps making one bad decision after another.
