The Michigan Pet Fund Alliance used the 2014 annual shelter reports that each licensed shelter is required to submit to the Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, and performed calculations to determine each shelter’s performance in saving lives. The Roscommon County Animal Shelter had a 100% save rate in 2014 and won an award for being a small outstanding open admission shelter.

The Charlevoix County Humane Society won an award for the most improved limited admission shelter.

Well deserved! I wish all shelters could be like their’s.

Good work, means safer environments and more lives saved.
