Community Pet Education Day Comes to Williamsburg in November

It’s almost time for AC Paw’s Community Pet Education Day on Saturday, November 2nd from 10 am to 5 pm at the Mill Creek Elementary School in Williamsburg. This event is also sponsored by Bowsers by the Bay with all proceeds going to No Unwanted Pets. Registration starts at 9:30 a.m. and the cost is $20 for adults 19 and older; $10 for students 10-18 years old and kids nine years old and under are free.The class line-up includes two tracks:


• Canine Communications-Body Language-Understanding “difficult dogs”, body language, conflict between multiple dogs.

• Bully Breeds – No breed is a “bad breed” Come and learn the TRUE Story and meet some amazing dogs that you will fall in love with!

• Adult Dogs in Transition – Foster dogs, new adult adoptees, problem “children” – learn how to help your new adult dog in his transition to a new home or living situation.

• Therapy Dog Presentation – You know you will love this!

TRACK TWO: A little bit of cats anda little bit of dogs!

• Health and Wellness for your pets – including CPR! Lots of Q&A.

• Cattastic Cats #1 – Cat grooming and general health issues and concerns and how to deal with them.

• Cattastic Cats #2 – Feral Cats – How to build proper shelters for them during the winter months and help them live a better life.

• Agility Training Discussion and Presentation – See the agility dogs in action and learn how you can begin agility with your dog!


• Allison from Sundog will be there representing Military Working Dog Team Support Association. She will have her therapy dog in-training at her booth and he will be part of the reading session for kids to meet.

• And…A Raffle of a cat hammock and TWO FREE SPAY or NEUTER services along with other fun prizes!

• Readers Corner for the kids!

• Certified Reading Assistance/Therapy Dogs will be available for children to read to.

• Low Cost Microchip and Rabies Clinic (1 to 3 pm)

• Food served all day long!
